ro*co films productions was launched in 2009 in conjunction with ro*co films' partnership with OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. OWN and ro*co films productions partnered to identify and spotlight documentaries that inspire and entertain, as well as provide opportunities for viewers to engage and connect through the stories that move them. ro*co films productions assisted in curating and acquiring films spotlighted monthly in the first year of the OWN Documentary Club, which launched in May 2011.

Most recently, ro*co films productions, led by Sue Turley, announced a partnership with filmmaker Chris Columbus' 1492 pictures (producers of such films as The Help and Harry Potter) to adapt documentaries into dramatic features and other creative platforms.

The first project will be Yoav Potash's CRIME AFTER CRIME. It has earned 15 major awards, including the Freedom of Expression Award from the National Board Review, as well as the Hillman Prize in Broadcast Journalism.
